Dr Anastasia Aladysheva (Russia) is a Senior Researcher in SIPRI’s Life in Kyrgyzstan Project, focusing on the impact evaluation of development and peacebuilding programmes in Kyrgyzstan. Her primary research interests include development economics, impact evaluation methods, social and behavioural economics, and political economy. The ‘Life in Kyrgyzstan’ Study (LiK Study) is a research-based, open access, multi-topic longitudinal survey of households and individuals in Kyrgyzstan. It tracks the same 3,000 households and 8,000 individuals over time in all seven Kyrgyz regions (oblasts) and the two cities of Bishkek and Osh. The presentations and research shared with the participants brought new insights on a range of social and economic developments in Kyrgyzstan and the Central Asia region. 2021-4-10 · SIPRI’s programme on Governance and Society asks how societies can undertake effective governance reform of core public goods, this includes sequencing and building narratives around reform. The programme investigates how inclusion can contribute to promoting peace and development in societies and how governance challenges can foster conflict within or between societies.
